Hiroshi Akiba received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering Systems from University of Tsukuba, Japan, and he pursued a Ph.D. degree in computer science under the direction of Professor Kwan-Liu Ma in the Visualization & Interface Design Innovation (VIDI) at UC Davis. He is also involved in projects in the Institute for Ultra-Scale Visualization. He is currently working at Intel Corporation as a component design engineer for graphics chips.
